Options

naturally aspirated applications:
Naturally aspirated component kit includes higher compression pistons and lightened connecting rods for applications up to 480 bhp. Power gains compared to a factory 3.0L 270 bhp engine, natural aspirated applications will improve power output to 360-420 bhp when used with supporting modifications.

Recommended compression ratio:
91 octane (R+M)/2 - 11.5:1 (standard high octane pump fuel)
100+ octane (R+M)/2 - 12.5:1 (race gas & E85)

forced induction applications:
Forced induction component kit includes lower compression pistons and reinforced connecting rods for applications between 480 bhp - 900 bhp. Power gains largely dependent on supercharger or turbocharger specifications, typical gains are 1-3x the power output of a factory engine. Turbocharged applications will experience increase in compressor response time resulting in increased throttle response. Maximum recommended power, with supporting modifications, is 900 bhp.

Recommended compression ratio:
Compression ratio varies by power goal & fuel to be used. Typical range is 9.0 - 10.0:1. Please consult with your tuner, engine builder, and ScienceofSpeed for recommendations for your specific application.
